Snow Leopard running fast on the Macintosh

Two things are much faster on my Macintosh since I upgraded to Snow Leopard durning the summer.

  1. System starts up much faster.
  2. Safari web browser is lightning fast for navigating from page to page.

One thing that is slower in Safari is opening a new tab. That is because it is opening a page of thumbnails of my favorite site.

I might disable this feature since 95 percent of the time that I open a new tab, I do not want to use the thumbnails to get there. Plus, I can always pull up the thumbnails page with a different command when I want to actually use it. Right now, it just slows me down in what otherwise has become a very fast web browser.
